Ms. Nguyen has represented corporate and individual clients in transactional matters as well as litigation, appearing before administrative agencies, state courts and federal courts. Ms. Nguyen's transactional experience includes business organization, commercial and real estate contracts, employment and estate planning. She also has extensive experience litigating cases involving breach of contract, wrongful termination, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, real estate disputes and general tort liability.
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen came to the United States as a young child and grew up in Santa Clara, California. She studied International Relations at the University of California at Davis, earning a bachelor's degree and graduating with high honors in 1992. While at UC Davis, Ms. Nguyen was elected into Phi Beta Kappa. She also spent her junior year abroad, studying at the Universidad de Complutense in Madrid, Spain, and traveling throughout Europe. After college, Ms. Nguyen obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 1995 from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law. At Boalt, Ms. Nguyen was involved with the Asian Law Journal, the Asian Pacific Islander Law Students Association, and the Berkeley Law Foundation.
In 1995 Ms. Nguyen was admitted to the California Bar. She has also been admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals of the Ninth Circuit. Currently, Ms. Nguyen is a member of the California State Bar, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California, the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California, the Asian Pacific Bar of the Silicon Valley and the Vietnamese American Professional Women Association of Silicon Valley.
