Mr. Chiu was born December 24, 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He attended Bishop Gorman High School and then went on in the Jesuit tradition to enroll at Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles) where he graduated magna cum laude, receiving his undergraduate degree in computer science with an emphasis on computer graphic imagery in 1999. He thereafter attended and graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2003 where he; received a High Tech Law Certificate for his intellectual property focus; am jured Contracts; and was awarded Best Oral Advocate. Mr. Chiu began his legal career as a law clerk for (now) Nevada Supreme Court Justice, the Honoarble Michael A. Cherry and is admitted to practice in Nevada as well as the Ninth Circuit.
