Attorney

Colin G. McCarthy is a partner in the business litigation, products liability, and insurance practice groups, where he represents emerging and established businesses and individuals in commercial, products and insurance disputes.  Due in part to his extensive litigation and trial experience, Mr. McCarthy has been named to the California Rising Stars list of attorneys in California for 2011 and again in 2012. No more than 2.5% of lawyers in Northern California earn this distinction.

Mr. McCarthy began his career in an expansive transportation and insurance fraud practice before graduating to more complex, commercial, products liability and insurance coverage actions. These practices provided Mr. McCarthy with deposition, dispute resolution, and jury trial experience that he has applied to commercial disputes, intellectual property disputes, franchise disputes, construction defect cases, securities disputes, insurance coverage disputes, and products liability cases.
 
Mr. McCarthy spent two years at Bergeson, LLP as an associate practicing business and insurance litigation. During law school, in addition to clerking at Robinson & Wood, Inc., he was a law clerk at the United States Attorneys' Office and an intern at the Office of the Public Defender, Santa Clara County.
