D. Jason Ferris was born in Olney, Maryland, and was raised in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in May of 1997. In 2000, Mr. Ferris received his Juris Doctorate from the Pepperdine University School of Law.

Mr. Ferris was admitted to the California State Bar in 2000 and the Nevada State Bar in 2001. Mr. Ferris is also licensed to practice in the US Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and the US District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of California. Mr. Ferris is a member of the Italian-American Bar Association.
