Ms. Dupic hails from the Midwest, where she grew up primarily in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. She received her law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. Ms. Dupic graduated in the top 30% of her class, and her other honors included recognition for writing an Honors Appellate Brief in her first year, and an Outstanding Client Advocacy Award from the law school's legal clinic in her third year. Prior to law school, Ms. Dupic completed her undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, where she graduated summa cum laude upon earning her B.S.B.A. with a second major in Spanish Language and Literature.
At Robinson & Wood, Inc., Ms. Dupic's practice focuses on civil defense litigation in the areas of products liability, transportation liability, and insurance litigation and fraud. Ms. Dupic is also expanding her practice in writs and appeals.
This summer, Ms. Dupic published an article concerning the California Supreme Court's recent adoption of the "sophisticated user" defense for defendant manufacturers in products liability cases. Her article, "The 'Sophisticated User' Doctrine: A New Affirmative Defense for Products Liability Defendants in California," was published in Volume 23, Number 2 of Defense Comment (the Summer 2008 issue), a publication by the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada. She previously published an article, "The SUV Tax Loophole: Today's Quintessential Suburban Passenger Vehicle Becomes Small Businesses' Quintessential Tax Break," in Volume 9 of Lewis & Clark Law Review in the fall of 2005.
Ms. Dupic was admitted to the California State Bar on December 7, 2005. She is licensed to practice in federal court, including the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeal, Ninth Circuit. She is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada.
Ms. Dupic regularly volunteers her time giving free legal advice at "Lawyers in the Library," a legal aid program at MLK Library in downtown San Jose sponsored by The Pro Bono Project of Silicon Valley. Ms. Dupic is also an active member of the board of directors for the San Jose/South Bay Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta.
